Prolonging The Agony

First post. Let's make this interesting shall we? Again, like everything I write, doubtful anything I write will ever be read. But I guess I just a matter of pushing it out there. This country is going in the toilet and everyone knows it. I can't believe that the country allows these people in the Republican Party to spit lies, unabated even. This goes past Freedom of Speech. Trust me though, I'm a writer. I love my right to speak and write as much as anyone, but their comes a point when someone's opinion does nothing to help the process of civil discourse and only hinders rational discussion. For instance, this hyper fixation on Death Panels within the Health Reform debate is rediculous. There comes a time when the stations need to stop letting these people take up their air time. There can be no benefit to just giving them air time for ratings. Yes, I must admit that I like to see someone shove their political or other affiliated career down the toilet when they bring the 'Death Panel' topic up. It's entertaining. But after five minutes of this crap, I don't want to hear about it anymore. Lately, it's just on and on about battling politicians. I swear it's all you ever hear about on TV anymore. Unless you switch to one of the non-news based channels like TNT and USA and then to your horror, up comes a commercial from people like Conservatives for Patient's Rights. I'm about at the point where I want to draw up a nice bullseye, tape it to my TV Screen and drive a sledge hammer into it with everything I've got. Oh wait, don't even me started on this rediculous mental ward escapee here:

Ok, so what the fuck do these people think happened all throughout the general elections in November?! Or even the primaries? Do these people think there's some conspiracy in the government....oh wait, yes they do:

My question is do you people not think they had people doing official fact checking throughout the campaigns? Do you not think that this was handled prior to his election and his confirmation as President of the United States? This 'birther' conspiracy theory was most likely thought up by some guy in his basement while playing World of Warcraft and jerking off to Bill O'Reily speak, anyway. Ugh.
